Synopsis
Primordial Soup is a coming of age story set in the Meatpacking District. It tells the story of Magdalena, a young girl with a big appetite for life. Magdalena’s imagination is fueled after an engaging discussion in her biology class on the subject of food chains and the Primordial Soup — the origins of life. She immediately develops a strong aversion to meat, but living under the tutelage of a domineering mother is not easy. At home, Magdalena is constantly being served meat, along with a hearty portion of her mother’s ethics. Afraid she will never escape “the Soup,” Magdalena struggles to avoid meat and her aversion yields many discoveries.
