Synopsis
“Expressionistic and compassionate…” The Los Angeles Times
The Century Plaza is a first-hand look into a Single Room Occupancy hotel, or SRO, in downtown Portland, Oregon. The hotel cat is a silent narrator, traveling through the rooms of the hungry, the needy, the drug addicts, and as one journalist put it, “half a step up from rock bottom.” Director Eric Lahey took up residence at The Century Plaza Hotel for almost a year to document this forgotten fragment of society.
