How do I add a manager to my YouTube account?

From time to time, we help out filmmakers per their request with their YouTube presence. This feature requires a "Brand Account." (See their help page for steps on converting to that kind of YouTube account.) Once that's set, whenever you need to add someone to your YouTube account to help, here are the steps:

  1. Login to YouTube.
  2. Click the avatar/circle on the top right.
  3. Select Settings from the sidebar menu
  4. On the bottom of the main Overview page has a section called Managers -- click "add or remove managers."
  5. On the next page, YouTube/Google has you click yet another link for the same thing, now called "manage permissions."
  6. On the top right edge of the modal box that pops up, there is an a little "+" icon. Click that to provide a manager's e-mail address to invite them to help. (The recipient will need to approve the invite.)

Other options beside manager are administrator (top level) and communications manager (bottom level).
