They recently re-branded and wanted to get ahead in search engine ranks along with grow their social media followers.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of paying for results, they&#8217;ve got options. Create some of your own content on a regular basis, and you&#8217;ll have a longer and cheaper win-win.<\/p>\n<p>To elaborate, here is part of our consulting effort to help articulate fast and cost-effective ways to climb the ranks with two kinds of great content: their product pages as well as blog posts about their products.<br \/>\n<br style=\"clear:both;\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Paid vs. organic SEM (Search Engine Marketing)<\/h3>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">\n<p class=\"circledNumber\">1<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"width:50%; float:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-right:1em;\">Paid means <strong>always paying<\/strong> for placement and therefore some kind of result<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"width:50%; float:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-right:1em;\">Organic means <strong>paying once<\/strong> (for original content) and rising naturally for <strong>free<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br style=\"clear:both;\" \/><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">\n<p class=\"circledNumber\">2<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"width:50%; float:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-right:1em;\">Paid placement means selling \/ sharing a product<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"width:50%; float:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-right:1em;\">Organic placement means selling \/ sharing a story <u>that <strong>also<\/strong> sells a product and brand awareness<\/u><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br style=\"clear:both;\" \/><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">\n<p class=\"circledNumber\">3<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"width:50%; float:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-right:1em;\">Paid (for content that isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t new every week) means <strong>no fringe benefit<\/strong> for \u00e2\u20ac\u0153freshness\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"width:50%; float:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-right:1em;\">Organic inherently gets <strong>extra credit<\/strong> from search engines because it shows your site is \u00e2\u20ac\u0153fresh\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br style=\"clear:both;\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>All ads* aren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t the same (* Search and social ads)<\/h3>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">\n<p class=\"circledNumber\">4<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Paid ads\/keywords for evergreen, timeless pages will focus around <strong>search networks<\/strong> (e.g. Google AdWords, Bing Ads)<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">\n<p class=\"circledNumber\">5<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Paid ads\/boosts for organic, timely posts will focus around <strong>social media networks<\/strong> (e.g. Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads)<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">\n<p class=\"circledNumber\">6<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"width:50%; float:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-right:1em;\">Bulking up pages <u>may look like clutter<\/u> (e.g. Product Detail 1, Product Detail 2, Product Detail 3, etc.) &#8230;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"width:50%; float:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-right:1em;\">&#8230; but we can easily <u>repeat products<\/u> if the angle of the blog content is different each time (e.g. best food in Los Angeles, best art in Los Angeles, best beaches in Los Angeles, etc.)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br style=\"clear:both;\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Why paid <u>and<\/u> organic is a win-win for marketing<\/h3>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">\n<p class=\"circledNumber\">7<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"width:50%; float:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-right:1em;\">Destination content provides you with <strong>timeless<\/strong> content: <u>products for sale<\/u><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"width:50%; float:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-right:1em;\">Blog content provides you with <strong>timely<\/strong> content: <u>stories to encourage sales<\/u><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br style=\"clear:both;\" \/><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">\n<p class=\"circledNumber\">8<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"width:50%; float:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-right:1em;\">If <u>just<\/u> paid, you have to keep <strong>paying<\/strong> to keep you rank up.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"width:50%; float:left;\">\n<p style=\"margin-right:1em;\">If <u>just<\/u> organic, you keep <strong>producing<\/strong> content to keep your rank up.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br style=\"clear:both;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But if both are done well, the result is fast and can last.
