{"id":26,"date":"2007-03-28T23:12:07","date_gmt":"2007-03-29T06:12:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fwdlabs.com\/blog\/2007\/03\/28\/adobe-web-design-and-video\/"},"modified":"2016-05-16T19:04:38","modified_gmt":"2016-05-17T02:04:38","slug":"adobe-web-design-and-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fwdlabs.com\/blog\/adobe-web-design-and-video\/","title":{"rendered":"Adobe&#8217;s Creative Suite for &#8220;Web, Design and Video&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"imageframe imgalignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image27\" alt=\"adobe-creative-suite-3.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/fwdlabs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/adobe-creative-suite-3.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.adobe.com\/creativelicense\/\">Adobe Creative Suite 3<\/a> (CS3), announced Tuesday, is an upgraded line of software relevant &#8212; now, very relevant &#8212; to <a href=\"http:\/\/fwdlabs.com\/film\/\">film<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/fwdlabs.com\/web\/\">web<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/fwdlabs.com\/design\/\">design<\/a> projects in cinema.<\/p>\n<p>Four kinds of packages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Design<\/strong> &#8211; Premium (Acrobat 8 Professional, Dreamweaver CS3, Flash CS3 Professional, Illustrator CS3, InDesign CS3, Photoshop CS3 Extended) and Standard (no Dreamweaver or Flash) options for print ($1799, $1199)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Web<\/strong> &#8211; Premium (Acrobat 8 Professional, Contribute CS3, Dreamweaver CS3, Fireworks CS3, Flash CS3 Professional, Illustrator CS3, Photoshop CS3 Extended) and Standard (no Acrobat, Illustrator or Photoshop) options for development ($1599, $999)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Production<\/strong> &#8211; One option for digital media and video ($1699)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Master Collection<\/strong> &#8211; 17 applications ($2499)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A la carte upgrades are also available for the Adobe and Macromedia products. Most English versions available by the end of April 2007.<\/p>\n<p>In 2005, Adobe acquired Macromedia, gaining Flash (leading online video format) and Dreamweaver (leading web application). The end-result highlights their announced strategy for integration, like the ease-of-use to add rich media onto static web sites.<\/p>\n<div class=\"imageframe imgalignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image28\" alt=\"adobe-home-page.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/fwdlabs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/adobe-home-page.jpg\" \/><\/div>\n<p>As a designer, <a href=\"http:\/\/fwdlabs.com\/artist\/Pablo-Matilla\/\">Pablo Matilla<\/a> noted the similarity to CS2 with one major exception: Flash. <em>Adobe<\/em> Flash. &#8220;It&#8217;s the most amazing thing. Import from Illustrator, Photoshop, straight to Flash. And now Premiere can export to Flash video. It&#8217;s pretty much everywhere now, so it&#8217;s a huge hook to have Premier. People might use Premier to release videos themselves with Flash.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>During Adobe&#8217;s launch event presentation, a mobile marketing and design firm, Punchkick Interactive, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/punchkickinteractive.com\/blog\/index.php\/mobile-marketing\/adobe-creative-suite-3-cliffsnotes\/\">took some very clear notes<\/a>, which point out the major feature improvements with programs like Photoshop and their integration improvements.<\/p>\n<p>Leading up to this announcement, Adobe released a video, &#8220;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dCs2lu7KoOk\">What is in the box?<\/a>,&#8221; on YouTube on March 1st to promote the launch. It&#8217;s been seen over 100,000 times.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/\">Apple<\/a>, a competitor for the video market, has a lot of collaboration in this campaign, including <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/creativesuite3\/\">a new micro-site<\/a>.
