Autoframe is a powerful iOS app that brings the functionality of Autopilot’s Focus Mode to the DJI Osmo. Both POI and Airspace subject types are supported, which makes Autoframe ideal for several unique use cases:
- Focusing on the location of a fixed POI when you are moving with the Osmo
- Focusing on the location of an Airspace-connected iPhone where the iPhone is attached to an athlete
- Focusing on the location of multiple Airspace-connected iPhones where the iPhones are attached to a athletes such as skiers
- Focusing on the location of an Airspace-connected aircraft
Because the Osmo does not have a built-in compass or GPS, Autoframe relies on the compass and GPS of the connected iOS Device. This means that the Autoframe is limited to running on iOS Devices with GPS (cannot be installed on wifi-only iPads), and that the iOS Device must be mounted to the Osmo. Mounting gaurantees that the iOS Device is both located at the same GPS coordinate as the Osmo, and that the iOS Device is pointed in the same direction as the Osmo handle. If you attempt to use Autoframe outside these conditions, Autoframe cannot calculate the appropriate camera angle and therefore cannot function properly.

"FWD:labs carries the most complete listing of linked professional apps I know besides of the fragmented Android Market (google play) and the iPhone App Store. I suspect it is a tenuous work to compile and link all proven working apps and much more your site offers. I thank you for sharing such complete list of iPhone and android apps for the cinematographer and the entertainment industry in general. I could not pass the opportunity let know my readers about your meticulous resource."FILMCAST
"[R]idiculously useful compendium"Directors Notes
"I thought [FWD:labs] had put together a useful list when I saw it last year, but that was nothing compared to now. If you're a filmmaker and looking for a little portable help in pre/production/post then chances are you'll find it in the Apps for Cinema Artists. I know I can be a little iPhone-centric when it comes to these things, but you’ll be pleased to know the list is completely platform agnostic."Directors Notes
