CHRISTOPHER HALL hails all the way from Cheviot Hills, CA, where he grew up only steps away from the 20th Century Fox backlot, which used to be a lot easier to sneak into, by the way. The son of a high-ranking Navy brat and a hippie East Coast liberal attorney, he found escape in the world of movies, and fell in love with filmmakers from Hitchcock to Richard Donner.

Inspired by a high school drama teacher, he enrolled at Kenyon College in Gambier, OH, where he learned about Aristotle, studied acting for a semester at the Moscow Art Theater in Russia, and double-majored in theater and photography -- but quickly realized he emerged with no actual professional experience about "the business." Miraculously, he got a grueling but educational job as a PA on "THE SOPRANOS", then talked his way into a job working in Visual Effects at Tippett Studio in Berkeley, CA, where he worked on THE MATRIX: REVOLUTIONS, among other major feature films.

But when he moved back to LA, he turned his attention back to his first love: writing. He got a job running development for the director Breck Eisner, and sat down to write his first feature script, THE KILL FLOOR, an action drama that takes place in a slaughterhouse, for which he spent a year researching and exploring the hidden underbelly of a dysfunctional system that delivers billions of hamburgers per year. The script wasn't very good. However, he then turned to writing pilots, and his first stabs at that turned out really well: ZOO CITY is a stylish noir series about a man trying to go straight but getting sucked back into the life of crime, set in a city so crooked even the sidewalks look like corkscrews; the script was optioned by LL Cool J. And LINE IN THE SAND follows a Border Patrol Agent with a nice, vanilla family on the El Paso side, and a secret mistress and son on the Juarez side. The script won second place on the Pilot Runway, the TV world's answer to the Black List.

Chris is 32 and lives with his wife Davida in Hollywood.
